Sayen is 16 now — a high school student in Pampanga, Philippines. She first became enrolled in Convoy of Hope’s Children’s Feeding Initiative (CFI) in 2012, when she was 12 years old. Her parents separated and she and her siblings lived with their father, who couldn’t find work to support his family.
“We were used to not having enough money to eat,” she says. “Convoy really helped us out during those times by giving us take-home rations.”
Thanks to volunteers like you packaging meals, Sayen’s family did not go hungry. Influenced by all she received while she was enrolled in CFI, Sayen now enjoys helping to serve the children in her community, who are enrolled in the program.
“Because I have seen how important giving and serving are,” she says, beaming, “I have a desire to help those in need.”
Because you served, Sayen is now learning to serve. It’s exponential! Your giving and serving is multiplied through the lives of this child.
