My father didn’t tell me how to live; he lived, and let me watch him do it.
American writer, Clarence Budington Kelland
This weekend, families will celebrate the men in our lives who raised and supported us. Many times we reflect on the values that they taught, to make us the people we are today.
At Numana, we are able to see these men teaching their children and grandchildren how to serve others. Through the simple tasks of scooping rice and beans, children learn that they can make a difference in the lives of others through volunteering.
Thank you to all of the fathers who wore the silly hairnets and scooped rice with your children. There are so many other things you could have been doing, but you chose to serve.
