Who is Africa New Life?
Africa New Life Ministries exists to break the cycle of poverty in Rwanda by providing education, spiritual insight and basic necessities to children and families. Africa New Life is spreading hope in Rwanda through acts of compassion and sharing the freedom and hope found in Christ.
More than 7,300 children and over 100 college students are sponsored through Africa New Life. Sponsorship gives the children an opportunity for education, discipleship, and basic medical insurance.
Children who attend Africa New Life schools receive a hot meal while in school. For many, this is their only meal for the day. In 2016, over 1.2 million meals will be served.
Africa New Life was founded by Rwandans, for Rwandans.
New Life Christian Academy, run by Africa New Life, tested as the #1 secondary school in the nation in 2011.
Our Partnership
Since the 1994 genocide, Rwanda is rebuilding itself. The educational system is strengthening and the economy is growing rapidly. Through the ministry of Africa New Life, children are thriving. Their bellies are full. However, it is very expensive to purchase food and resources in this land-locked, East African country. This means that it is very expensive for Africa New Life Ministries to feed the children in their program at the level they would like to. The partnership between Africa New Life Ministries and Numana, Inc began in April of 2013. Numana staff has visited Rwanda to assess the need and has agreed to provide between 3 and 4 containers of food to Africa New Life each year.
